In Spain, sobremesa is not just an activity. It is a cherished tradition, a celebration of togetherness that turns every meal into an experience. It is the moment when good food meets even better company. Minutes stretch into hours as stories are shared, memories are made, and the joy of the present is fully savored.

For Spaniards, sobremesas are not only about food. They are about the people who gather around the table. It is about slowing down, putting away the rush of the day, and soaking in the richness of each other’s presence. Whether it is a simple lunch or a long Sunday meal, sobremesas remind us that the best moments often happen when nothing is planned and no one is in a hurry. Plates are still on the table, glasses are half full, and time feels generous.

BRISCA was born from a deep love of this tradition. As a Spanish-American, a mother of four, and a first-time founder, I wanted to create something that captured the spirit of these moments. I started BRISCA to share the olive oils I grew up with; fresh, vibrant, and full of life, and to bring a piece of Spain to tables across the U.S.

Our extra virgin olive oils are crafted in Spain with care and integrity. They are milled the same day the olives are harvested and blended with purpose. Each bottle is made to be passed around the table, drizzled generously, and enjoyed in good company.

Just like sobremesa, BRISCA is a celebration of life, flavor, and connection.
